Join us this Fourth of July beginning at noon for the America 250 Birthday Bash at McHenry VFW Post 4600! This free community celebration of our nation features four live bands, delicious food and drinks, bounce houses, a mechanical bull, silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Bring the whole family and celebrate America's birthday while supporting local veterans and the McHenry County Historical Society. 🎄 Join us for a time-honored tradition in downtown Cary—the Merry Cary Holiday Parade & Festival on Sunday, December 7, from 12:30-3:30 p.m.! The parade steps off at 1:00 p.m. on Main St., filling the heart of Cary with holiday cheer. Mark your calendars for a day full of festive fun! Sun, Snow or Rain event…Dress accordingly

⛄️ Free Parking is available in any of the Metra commuter lots to the north or south of Main Street.

Because we were staying after the parade to continue the broadcast, we elected to not roll in the parade this year. The snow in the bank parking made the setup challenging so we decided to stay in one spot for the parade. We did get to watch the parade go by from our vantage point!

WYML is teaming up wtih Jeeps 4 Vets to donate to K9's for Vets to help fund service dogs for veterans in need.

Do you know what the 22 a day is all about? Around 22 Veterans take their own lives each day. Let's help stop this madness. All of the proceeds will go to Veterans Path to Hope. They use these funds to help less fortunate veterans with housing, food, clothing, and support in many different ways.
We will be meeting at Liberty Automotive from 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. Then we will convoy up to Downtown Grayslake for the main event. You will check in at Liberty Automotive. There you can purchase raffle tickets for the prizes and of course the 50/50 raffle (cash only for the 50/50 tickets).
When we get to Downtown Grayslake, we will park our Jeeps and then walk around and check out the town. There will be activities for the kids as well as the adults, and plenty of VPH and Jeeps4Vets apparel to purchase as you show your support for our veterans. Make sure your Jeep is ready for show! We will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. More info to come -be sure to click Interested or Going to receive all our update notifications!
There is currently construction on Center St. It should be done before the event. However Jeeps4vets and the Village of Grayslake wants you to be aware just incase they are not done.
We will also have a Jeep blessing once we get situated in downtown Grayslake. Pastor Mark from Fierce Church will be there. Donations to Fierce Church accepted for this.
